Fullbright Fellowships (US Educational Foundation in India, Offices at 12 Hailey Road -for Northern & Western Regions), The American Centre, 38A Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Calcutta-700071 (for Eastern Region) and American Consulate Building, Anna Sali, Chennai-600006. (for Southern Region) – Awards eight types of doctoral, postdoctoral, professional fellowships and visiting lecturer grants.

Hindu-Hitachi Scholarships (The Hindu, 858 & 860 Anna Salai, Chennai-600002) – tenable for undergraduate technical training at Hitachi Ltd Japan in several product fields of the company.

Indian Foundation Loan Travel Grants (Executive Secretary, Indian Foundation 595 Budhwar, Pune-411002) – interest –free loan to candidates who have secured admission to a foreign university and have obtained assistantship or scholarships to cover all other expenses.

Inlaks Scholarships (Inlaks Foundation PO Box 2108, Delhi-110007) – awarded to graduate aged 22-30 years for projects and studies in any subject field in Europe, Britain and the USA.

ITC Overseas Scholarships (Corporate Public Relations Manager, ITC Limited, Virginia House, 37 Chowringhee, Calcutta-700071) – for postgraduate M.Phil. study tenable at business schools in UK, USA and Philippines.

JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarships (Bombay House, 24 Homi Modi Street, Mumbai-400001) – for higher studies abroad in any field.

K.C. Mahindra Scholarships (K.C. Mahindra Education Trust, Cecil Court, 3rd Floor, Mahakavi Bhushan Marg, Mumbai-400001) – for advanced studies abroad in engineering, natural sciences, humanities, business management and military, naval and aviation sciences. The maximum amount of scholarship would not exceed Rs.90,000.00.

Rameshwardas Birla Smarak Kosh (Medical Research Centre, Bombay Hospital Trust, Hospital Avenue, Mumbai-400020) – grants for special training in medical or related fields abroad.

Rotary Foundation ambassadorial Scholarships – Open to candidates residing in Greater Mumbai/Thane districts served by Rotary Clubs in RI District 3 140.
