Annexure 6: Indian Institute of Mass Communication

At present it offers four postgraduate diploma courses, in (1) Journalism (English) at New Delhi and Dhenkanal (Orissa), (2) Journalism (Hindi) at New Delhi, (3) Advertising and Public Relations at New Delhi, and (4) Radio and Television Journalism. All the courses are of nine months duration (August – April). The essential qualification requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, but a postgraduate degree and experience in media related work are desirable. The admission is based on the performance in the entrance test held in several centres.
